Global Impact

GLOBAL IMPACT

What is Global Impact?

Global Impact is Concord’s strategic plan for giving to support historic partnership missions through the Southern Baptist Convention as well as mission efforts which directly involve Concord members and resources.

What happens when you give to Global Impact?

The Great Commission was given by Jesus Christ to the local church (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 1:8). As we cooperate with Southern Baptists here and abroad, we embrace our responsibility to reach the world with the Gospel. God has called Concord to “Love God and Love People” right here in mid-Missouri and also on a global scale. In order to accomplish this significant task, we join together under Global Impact.

VISION 3:16

Vision 3:16 collects donated eyeglasses to use in clinics in Mexico to assist individuals who could never afford to buy their own glasses. After meeting their physical need, people are given the opportunity to hear the life-changing, good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Regular mission trips are taken in partnership with churches like Concord and churches in Mexico.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

WHAT IS OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD?

The Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, collects shoebox gifts—filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, has collected and delivered more than 178 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 160 countries and territories.
