One-on-One Discipleship

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”  2 Timothy 2:2 kjv

Sharing God’s word through the study of Christian fundamental beliefs and responsibilities with another believer provides one of the best opportunities for spiritual growth.  The Concord Baptist Church One-on-One Discipleship Program will introduce you to a fellow believer for individual study.  This person will be of the same gender and interests and chosen to assist you with your spiritual journey. This phase of discipleship affords the individual with several valuable advantages:

• Flexibility: the disciplee and discipler can choose to meet at their convenience. There are no regularly scheduled classes to attend.
• Personal friendships and mentoring: the disciplee is given personal attention so that specfic needs can be addressed.
• A high level of accountability: Concord disciplers are prepared to respond to the motivational needs of the disciplee for those who desire to move ahead quickly.
• A fixed doctrinal curriculum: this assures that the disciplee has a good foundation in basic Bible truths with the opportunity to ask pertinent or personal questions.

We want to fulfill Christ’s command to “Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Sprit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the day to the end of the age.” Mathew 28:19-20
