Welcome to Concord Baptist Church. “Missions” is on display wherever you turn on Sunday the 24th. As you entered our foyer you saw a little glimpse of what Concord is doing in 2010. We are beginning in Jefferson City and reaching out to the uttermost parts of the earth. Your support is vital as we look to fields ready for a harvest.

Why do we talk so much about missions? Why do we give so much to get the Good News out? I think the answer is found in what I am preaching this morning. It is all about Jesus Christ confessing multitudes before the Father in heaven. The call of Matthew 10:32, 33 is for us to stand up for Jesus. The promise is that He will stand up for us. What a day that will be when Jesus stands for us.

I want you to come back tonight for our evening service. Dr. Larry Lewis will bring a special missions challenge to our church. For many years, Larry Lewis was president of our Home Missions Board. He is a great preacher and story-teller. He has a heart for this world and knows what is going on in North America. You will learn something if you come back tonight. Be praying about your special gift to our Global Impact Offering during these days.
