About Student Ministry
The Student Ministry here at Concord Baptist Church involves students from grade 7 through grade 12. We exist as a ministry department within the church to be an extension of the church to help share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community and our world. This happens as we meet together for times of teaching, fellowship and service. We want to see each student that comes through this ministry ready for the journey God has prepared for them…and we know that as a ministry within the church, we can only see that happen when we walk alongside our families that are a part of us.
It really is that simple. It is also necessary to understand that simple does not equal easy. The simplicity described within this goal, that our teens and our families become more dependent on our Lord Jesus, implies a daily, cross bearing walk with Him.
Many of our times together will focus on teen life, but not just for the teens, because the whole family is a part of teen life when there is a teenager in the home. Parents not only have a chance to be involved, but should be engaged in whatever their child is involved in. The Student Ministry department is a family-friendly environment, where we can walk together, raising our children to be what God has given them to us for…not just good citizens, but Christ followers and a testimony of Him. Look for those opportunities to come for your teen, for parents and for the whole family.
When & Where We Meet
All classes and activities usually take place in the Student Ministry wing.
Sundays at 9:15 and 10:45 (various classrooms)
Sunday mornings begin in the classroom with what we call “The Gathering” in between hours. This takes place in our cafe area where students can see each other and get a coffee or water.
Wednesdays 6-8pm (Blue Room)
Wednesday nights we gather in the Blue Room for everything from games to groups, worship and teaching. We emphasize teaching and discipleship, while enjoying our time together.
