Welcome to Concord Baptist Church. We are excited that you are here to join us in the worship of the risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This Sunday we will conclude our three-part series through the book of Jude. This morning we will look at what God’s Word says about those who twist it to make it fit their preferences and lifestyle. God is clear that we do not get to manipulate Him to fit the image of the God we want, but rather that the believers should be opposite and growing in becoming like Jesus Christ.
Tonight we will look at how Jude encourages believers to deal with false doctrine. It is always necessary for us to rally around Jesus and set out gaze upon Him in troublesome times. I hope you come back as we conclude this book together.
This is an exciting time for us as a church. We have many activities and events going on this summer. Mission trips have been taken to many different parts of the world, and we are still sending people throughout the summer. Pray for these trips and that above all Jesus’ name would be proclaimed to the nations through them. Also pray for VBS and the many other outreach events we are planning to reach our community for Christ.
Welcome Bro. Mark back from his vacation. Join with Mark and the choir as they lead us in song, and sing to Jesus.
We hope that above all Jesus is exalted in our services. Pray that Jesus’ name would be lifted up and that we would remember the powerful work of salvation that Jesus worked for us. Remember that Jesus paid the price and redeemed those who believe. This is powerful that God sought us, even in our sin, and Jesus reconciled us to Himself. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB) says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Your Servant in Christ,
Josh
